What will you draw?
There's very little I'm not willing to try my hand at. Give me a design, and I'll do my best to do it justice.
Thus far, I've had experience drawing humanoid characters, anthros, monstrous characters, and so on.
I am less experienced with feral/quadrupedal designs, but will gladly take them on.
What won't you draw?
I prefer to keep my work tasteful, but I will tackle violence, horror, adult or erotic themes, nudity, and so on.
That said, I do reserve the right to refuse to do something if it manages to trip my hard boundaries (or if I just don't think I can do it justice - in which case I'll generally try to refer you to someone I think would do a better job). When in doubt, just ask.
I will not take commissions featuring the following: trademarked characters, celebrities, underage characters in violent or sexual situations, hateful content or content specifically targeting certain people or groups in a negative manner.
What are your policies on unruly customers?
That depends on what you mean by unruly. I cover this, for the most part, in my ToS.
In essence, be professional and courteous. Remember that you're hiring me for a service, and that I am a professional in this field.
I do reserve the right to refuse to work with someone as a result of untoward rudeness, violating the terms of my ToS, et cetera.
What's the difference between a speed icon and a normal icon?
The process is different, for one. I do speed icons in one sitting, sans preliminary sketches and the like - I also do not offer revisions on speed icons unless I've royally messed something up. In essence, you get what you get. Speed icons do not have figurative backgrounds or more than a shoulders-up view of a character in them. Furthermore, they tend to be less detailed, the compositions simpler, and the use of colour less complex.
What's the difference between a speedpaint and a detailed painting?
Like speed icons, speedpaints are done in one sitting - I do not do alterations; what you get is what you get. Also like speed ports, they tend to boast simpler compositions and backgrounds, and the use of colour is less complex. Small details are not a priority, in a speedpainting, and I do occasionally experiment with style and technique when doing them. If you have a very specific vision, you may be better off ordering a detailed painting - if you're on a budget and okay with potential surprises, a speedpaint may be for you.
Why aren't your commissions open more often?
I'm a full-time grad student, among other things. I do what I can, when I can.
Will you lower your prices for me?
No. Compared to the industry standard for illustrators, I undercharge by a lot. Usually, I don't even make minimum wage per hour on my commissions. I am not able to charge less without losing money. If you're strapped for cash, keep an eye out for the discounted specials and sales I occasionally offer.
Do you take payment by post?
No. I take my payments through PayPal exclusively.
Do you take tips or donations?
I do take tips, and I have a Ko-fi page here.
